The application streamlines the process of converting between bodyweight and dose, making complex calculations effortless. Please review the following sections to fully understand the features and usage of this application.

Dose-calculator (Home Page):

The home page offers a quick and convenient way to calculate recommended doses for commonly used medications and strengths. Notable features include:

  • Fast-Lane Medications: Instantly calculate doses for paracetamol (250mg/5ml and 120mg/5ml) and ibuprofen (100mg/5ml) suspensions, among others.
  • Auto-Copy Instructions: With the click of a button, you can copy the generated dosage instructions. Enable "Auto-copy" from the settings menu to copy instructions automatically when selecting Fast-Lane items.
  • Auto-Minimize: Enhance efficiency by enabling "Auto-minimize." After copying instructions, the application will automatically minimize, allowing you to process the copied details seamlessly in your dispensing software.

Advanced Calculator (Accessible from Menu-bar):

The advanced calculator provides a more comprehensive approach to dose calculations. Key features include:

  • Enter Dose: Input the dose in milliliters (ml) for a specific medication.
  • Ideal Body Weight: Obtain the ideal body weight for the patient based on the entered dose.
  • Conversion Options: Convert the entered dose to the recommended dose for other provided medications.
  • Copy Instructions: Easily copy the dosage instructions generated by the advanced calculator for further use.

Important Notes:

  • The Dose Calculator application provides calculations based on the recommended doses from NZF website. However, individual patient factors may impact dosing requirements.
